2. Free fursona maker sites
🔗 Free fursona maker sites allow you to create fursonas from scratch for free and by yourself. My favorite is the fursona maker at meiko.io. It’s super easy to use, and you should be done creating your fursona in a matter of minutes.
But hear hear, the quality of fursona from maker sites is not nearly as good as what you’d get from commissioning a professional fursona artist.
As you will see, the fursona is based on a template, so you can really do that much customization – you cant style the fursona to look like you, for instance.
Also, while it looks good, you can see it’s nothing like the fursona drawings’ serious furries use. It’s not anywhere as polished as what you’d get from a professional artist.
These two points summarize while most people don’t really use free fursona maker sites for their fursona drawings:
- It’s hard to customize.
- The fursona drawing is not half as good as what you’d get from a fursona artist.
- You’ll still spend some time creating art. I spent 5 mins creating the fursona up there, but it could be more for you.
Still, free fursona maker sites are a good option if you’re just experimenting with furry characters for the first time. Many furries use them to create placeholder fursona characters pending when they commission a real fursona artist for an actual fursona drawing.
3. Image maker apps like Speedpaint
Professional artists, the kind you’ll hire on Fiverr for a fursona drawing commission, use image-maker apps like Speedpaint, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to create most of the fursona drawings you know and love.
You can use Speedpanti as well to create your own fursona art. But, you’ll need to first learn the basics of Photoshop and how to use it for Fursona artwork.
